The park has a volleyball net, as well as a large field for playing catch or flying kites. Mansfield is also known for fishing some of the spots near The Hitching Post are Hershell Letsinger Lake, East Fork Niangua River, Austin Community Lake, and of course the grand Bull Shoals Lake. There are also plenty of trails nearby which offer stunning views of the surrounding wilderness, such as, Roadside Park, Bryant Creek State Park, or the more extensive Bateman Trail System.
