Park Constitution

We take pride in keeping our park clean, safe, and quiet for all our residents. Please help us respect our neighbors by following these considerate rules.

Welcome to The Hitching Post RV Park!  Our goal is to make our property safe, enjoyable, comfortable, and attractive to all people at all times.  Please help us achieve our goal by adhering to the following  rules at all times.  For the enjoyment of all, rules are strictly enforced.

GENERAL: 

​

  1. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Check-out is 12:00 PM (noon) and CHECK-IN is 2:00 PM. 

  2. RESERVATIONS: Reservations require payment of first night stay.  NO REFUNDS for cancellations or terminations.

  3. VISITORS: All visitors must check in at the office and register for a site.

  4. SPEED LIMIT: 5 mph MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT.  Guests and visitors proven to be habitual offenders of the speed limit may be asked to leave the park immediately for the safety of others.

  5. SIGNS:  All signs, posted notices and direction of the property’s manager must be obeyed.  Non-compliance may result in immediate loss of parking privileges. 

  6. FIRES:  Campfire pits may be provided for your convenience. Please keep your fire under control at all times. No burning of garbage, cardboard, wood with nails or plastic is allowed. 

  7. VEGETATION, TREES: Please do not cut the vegetation or attach anything to the trees.

  8. ABSOLUTELY NO fireworks or explosive devices are permitted in any RV, vehicle of any kind, or on the person of any guest.  Anyone found with these items will be asked to leave immediately and authorities may be called.  

  9. FIREARMS: Firearms are only allowed within your car or RV and must meet all Missouri state legal requirements for possession.  Firearms cannot be viewable by anyone outside your vehicle.  Anyone threatening violence with a firearm or displaying a firearm in threatening gestures will be asked to leave immediately and authorities will be called.

  10. DRUGS AND CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES:  The Hitching Post RV Park is a drug-free zone. Consumers or possessors of illegal drugs will be asked to leave the resort immediately and the authorities will be called.  Registered guests and visitors shall not engage in or facilitate or allow any criminal activity on the property.

  11. CHILDREN SUPERVISION:  All children under the age of 13 must have adult supervision on the property at all times.

  12. SMOKING is absolutely prohibited near the facilities.

PEACE & QUIET:

​

  1. QUIET HOURS: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be courteous of other guests.

  2. GENERATORS:  Engine driven electric generators cannot be operated during quiet hours and limited use.

  3. DISTURBANCES: No person shall engage in conduct which disturbs other tenants in their sleeping quarters or in campgrounds between quiet hours.

  4. NOISE: No person shall, at any time, use sound-emitting electronic equipment including electrical speakers, radios, phonographs, televisions, musical instruments or other such equipment, at a volume which emits sound beyond the immediate individual camp or picnic site that may disturb other park users without specific permission of management.

  5. OTHER: Rowdiness, loud music, abusive language, or drunkenness will not be tolerated at any time.

ANIMALS:

​

Please read the rules for animals listed in The Hitching Post RV Park Pet Policy.

RV SITE MAXIMUM OCCUPANTS: 

​

  1. Maximum of 5 people per RV site when stay is longer than 2 weeks. (additional per person charge) Maximum of 12 people per RV site. (extra charges apply)

  2. Additional (1) tent may be allowed on RV site charged standard Dry Daily fee.

  3. Any exceptions MUST be authorized by management.


 

VEHICLES & PARKING:

 

  1. DRIVER’s LICENSE, VEHICLE INSURANCE, REGISTRATION: You must have a valid Driver’s License to drive a vehicle in the park.  If requested, RV occupants must show proof of insurance and valid registration for RV and tow vehicle (if used)--these must be in the name of the site occupant.  

  2. RV CONDITION: RV must be in good, clean, operable condition.

  3. RV SITES: RV rent includes parking of your RV (motorhome, trailer, fifth-wheel etc.) and support vehicle (car, truck, motorcycle etc.). Each site has a designated parking space for both your RV and support vehicle. Vehicles parked in the streets, lawns, or in unoccupied sites will be towed at the owner's expense. 

  4. EXTRA VEHICLES: Extra vehicles must purchase a day parking pass and may be asked to park in Guest Parking.

  5. INOPERABLE VEHICLES: Inoperable vehicles CANNOT be parked anywhere within the property.  Such vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense.

  6. AUTO REPAIR: No auto work or repairs may be carried out anywhere within the property including any site. This rule does not include the repair of a flat tire, or replacing or jumping a battery.

NO BUSINESS:

​

No business is to be conducted at The Hitching Post RV Park sites.

 

​

GARBAGE:

​

  1. RESTROOMS: No cleaning dishes or clothes in the restrooms.

  2. TRASH: Residents/ guests are responsible for disposing their trash into marked trash dumpsters only. 

  3. DUMPSTERS: Only garbage generated inside the RV Park is to be dumped in RV garbage. All garbage bags should be securely fastened. 

  4. RUBBISH: No person shall leave, deposit, drop, or scatter bottles, broken glass, ashes, waste paper, cans, or other rubbish in a camping area, except in a garbage can or other receptacle designated for such purposes.

DAMAGES:

​

Guests agree to immediately reimburse The Hitching Post RV Park for any damage caused by them, or their guests, to the property.  Damage includes, but is not limited to, sewer damage, damage to trees or plantings, oil spills, buildings, equipment, light fixtures, and hook-up fixtures however caused.

​

 

EXPULSION & REMOVAL OF PROPERTY:

​

  1. Any violation of these Rules, or rules and signs posted in the property, shall be grounds for management action and for 30-day RV renters, it will be considered a violation of their rental camping contract.

  2. When fees required are not paid or camping privileges are terminated or persons are expelled, vehicles or other property or both may be towed or otherwise removed at owner's expense.

  3. Any vehicle parked in a camping area in violation of the rules may be towed at the owner's expense. 

  4. If a vehicle is towed or other property is removed by management for any reason that vehicle or property will NOT be allowed back on the property. 

  5. If a person is expelled from the property for any reason, that person will NOT be allowed back on the property.


 

LIABILITY

 

The use of the facilities is at the user’s own risk.  Guests are responsible for their visitors.  The Hitching Post RV Park management assumes no responsibility or liability for the safety and security of RV tenants/campers/visitors.  The Hitching Post RV Park is not responsible for loss or damage to RV tenants’ or camping guests’ property due to theft, vandalism, fire, any casualty, or act of God.  Registered guests and all other users of this property expressly assume all risk of such loss or damage and must carry their own insurance.

DISCLAIMER

​

The Hitching Post RV Park provides its services, including but not limited to its sites, utilities, and amenities on an ”as is” basis and makes no representations or warranties of any kind, either express or implied.  By staying at The Hitching Post RV Park, you agree to these terms and that under no circumstances will The Hitching Post RV Park be liable for direct, indirect, incidental or any other type of damages resulting from your use of any part of the park.  This includes, but is no way limited to, loss or injury caused in whole or in part by our negligence or things beyond our control.

INDEMNIFICATION

​

RV tenant and/or camping guest shall indemnify and hold harmless The Hitching Post RV Park, its officers, and employees from all claims, liability, and expenses, including but not limited to attorney and other professional fees, for injury to persons, loss of life, or damage to property arising out of the tenant’s exercise of his rights hereunder.

RESERVATION OF RIGHTS

 

The Hitching Post RV Park is private property.  Management reserves the right to amend these rules without prior notice to residents or guests.  Management, at its discretion, reserves the right to refuse entry on the property to any person and to evict current guests without a refund.  Management also reserves the right to refuse to accommodate current and returning guests that have violated our rules and regulations and /or have vacated the property without paying all fees.
